Tropical Wings Nature Center is located in the Cayo District of Western Belize.
About 6 miles west of San Ignacio, it's just east of San José Succotz, about 1/4 mile from the hand-operated ferry to the Ancient Maya site Xunantunich.
Adjacent to the Western Highway, Tropical Wings is about a 1 ˝ hour drive from the Belize airport by car.
Bus routes from Belize City, Belmopan, San Ignacio, and the Guatemalan border offer frequent service throughout the day. Several organized tours are also beginning to include Tropical Wings Nature Center in their itineraries.

Butterfly houses in Belize are for ecotourists, but butterflies are insects, not hummingbirds or other tropical birds. Belize has several butterfly houses, but no nature centers or interpretive centers except tropical wings, which is geared toward ecotourists in the Cayo District.
